About me
Hi! I’m Sampo Jumisko, I work as a digital artist freelancer from Tampere, Finland.
For as long as I can remember games have been a part of my life. I initially studied programming in Oulu University. But after getting my bachelors, I realized I was more drawn into the art of video games. This led to switch in my career focus and I briefly moved to Singapore to attend the prestigious FZD design art school. It was quite a leap of faith at the time and I’m grateful I did it.
After graduation I’ve taken part in small indie game projects, attended Mediapolis in Tampere where my focus slowly shifted towards illustration and worked on various mobile game projects.
Working on mobile for a while found me wanting to take the next step (COVID-19 also played a part), and I decided to go full-time freelance. I’ve been very lucky since to take part in exciting projects with various challenges which have helped me to develop my skills.
Currently I’ve worked with mostly TTRPG projects and I’m excited to see where I end up heading next.
